Jason Wade Galloway 41 of Mt. Gilead died Friday Evening, March 20, 2020 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Sharon Cemetery in Mt. Gilead. Daniel Ashmore will officiate. Jason will lie in state at Edwards Funeral Home of Mt. Gilead Monday from 1:00 until 5:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM where friends are welcome to pay their respects.
Jason was born October 3, 1978 in Mecklenburg County to John Harold Galloway (Kim) of Norwood and Mary Beth Wade of Harkers Island. He was a graduate of West Montgomery High School and Wingate University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in History. He was a Eagle Scout and a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Gilead and was a CNA with Sandy Ridge Memory Care in Candor where he loved his patients.
Jason was an avid Tarheel Fan and a collector of many things including comics, books, sports cards and Hot Wheel Cars. Jason loved all kinds of music and was a wonderful cook.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Katelyn Ashmore (Daniel) of Buford, Georgia and his niece Amelia Grace Ashmore. Two step-sisters, Nichole Wallace (Brad) of Taylor, SC and Lauren Brenneman (Daniel) of Harrisburg and their children Grace, Addy, Braxton, MacKenzie and Carson.

Due to an order issued by NC Governor Roy Cooper to limit crowd size the service may only be attended by family, funeral home staff and guest personally invited by the family.
