Jane Crump

Flora Jane Burr Crump 81 of Norwood died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday Afternoon, January 24, 2021 at her home.

A private family service will be held.

Jane was born September 29, 1939 in Stanly County to the late Samuel Benjamin and Queenie D. Clontz Burr. She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed attending Norwood First United Methodist Church with her family.

Jane will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Jane was a wonderful cook, seamstress and gardner. She spent countless hours providing for the nurture and well being of her family providing love, compassion and memories that will last them a lifetime.

She is survived by her husband Bernard W. “Dub” Crump Sr. of the home. Two daughters, Tammy Crump Parker (Bobby) of Kannapolis and Bebe Crump Harrington (Steve) of Albemarle. Two sons, Bernie Crump (Pam) of Endy and David Crump (Patty) of Norwood. Two brothers, Walter Lee Burr (Ann) of Harrisburg and Sammy Burr (Sandy) of Matthews. Ten grandchildren, Will Harrington (Ashley), Paige Harrington and Claire Harrington Church (Weston), Meredith Parker, McKenzie, Brandon, Parker, Hannah, Emma and Jack Crump. Three great-grandchildren, Rhett and Beau Harrington and Lark Church.

She was preceded in death by 7 sisters and 1 brother, Inez Blalock, Susannah Thompson, Ailene Smith, Louise Hudson, Clara Hatley, Jessie Lisk, Rose Hutchinson and Donald Burr.
