Jack Hutchinson

Jack Edmond Hutchinson, 90, of Norwood, passed away surrounded by his loving family, early Monday, October 23, 2023, at his home. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home in the chapel. Rev. Toney Parsons will officiate and interment will follow at Norview Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. 

Mr. Hutchinson was born on July 26, 1933 in Stanly County to the late Charles and Nellie Thompson Hutchinson. He worked for Collins and Aikman for over 45 years and was a member at South Stanly Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Little; son-in-law, Freddy Little; brothers and sisters: Charles David Hutchinson, Ginger Spivey, Lewis ‘Pookie’ Hutchinson, and Bonnie Hopkins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Emma Thompson Hutchinson of the home; daughter: Amanda Little (Doyle); grandchildren: Laura Little Harrington (Shane), Trip Little, Caselyn Little (Hunter Boyd); and great-granddaughter: Kaylyn Harrington; and two sister Margaret Gudger and Janelle McSwain.
