J. V. Mabry Jr. Obituary
James Vernon Mabry Jr., 85, of Norwood, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Aquadale Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Mabry was born on September 7, 1934 in Stanly County to the late James Vernon and Dera Poplin Mabry. He retired from the Solite plant after 52 years and was a member at Aquadale Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Turner Mabry his son, Benny Ray Mabry, and sister, Martha Gaye Efird.
He is survived by his son James Bailey Mabry (Kimberly Dean) of Norwood, and daughter Vicki Lowder (Craige) of Albemarle; four grandchildren: James Dustin Mabry, Shannon Angeles, James Palmer Holt, and Hannah Marie Holt; two great-grandchildren: Zak and Shea Mabry; and two sisters: Merle Bowers and Terry Eddins (Ben), all of Norwood.
