Hugh Privatte

Hugh Privatte, 89, of Matthews passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Monroe.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Hugh was born on February 26, 1936 to the late William and Willie Privatte. After his time in the National Guard, Hugh pursued a career in farming and truck driving. He was also a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in Matthews. 

In addition to his parents, Hugh was preceded in death by his loving wife, Melda Rose Privatte. As well as his siblings: BC, Reid, Dal, Virginia, Clydie, Bill, and Lucy. 

Hugh is survived by his son: Bo Privette (Ginger), daughter: Vicky Privatte, Grandchildren: Alicia(Al), Christopher (Tammy), Kyle(Joanna), and Robby. As well as six great grandchildren: Abhisneha, Gideon, Jethro, Saffron, Leila, and Gabby, and his siblings Mahlon (Jean), and JoAnn.
