Homerlee "Bud" Medlin

Homerlee “Bud” Junior Medlin passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at his home in Norwood.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Larry Huneycutt, Kent Forrest, and Dale Smith will officiate and interment will follow at Norwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday evening, January 28, 2026 at Edwards Funeral Home. 

Homerlee was born on February 15, 1966 in Union County to the late Homer Eugene and Arlene Huneycutt Medlin. He worked in construction as a truss builder. Homerlee loved the Carolina Panthers, Elvis, and his grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Myrtle Osbourne, and Cara Love. 

He is survived by his wife, Melinda Bowers Medlin, children: Catherine Johnson (Derek), Grady Medlin (Jennifer), and Tiffany Medlin (Dustin Furr), nine grandchildren: Austin, Sarah, Leah, Elijah, Noah, Silas, Waylon, Loretta, and James, siblings Colleen Medlin, and Wanda Medlin, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
