Henrietta T. Hatley Mabry, 88, of Albemarle, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025 at God’s Church in Badin. Pastor Frank Thompson and Pastor Adam Hatley will officiate and interment will follow at Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at God’s Church.
Henrietta was born on January 17, 1937 in Montgomery County to the late Charlie Washington and Dora Gladys Daniel Thompson. She was an active member of God’s Church where she enjoyed singing. She loved gardening and keeping her yard full of beautiful flowers. She also loved spending time with all her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of God and loved Jesus.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, William ‘Bill’ Vance Hatley Jr., and Ray Mabry; her son: Gary Hatley; and her siblings: Kathleen Kearns, Ruby Davis, Alton Thompson, Sarah Belcher, Clarence Thompson, Fred Thompson, Otis Thompson, Marvin Thompson, Rachel Thompson, Irene Thompson, Geraldine Lippe, and Peggy Deese.
She is survived by her children: Shirley Lefler (C.W.) of Concord, Craig Hatley (Kelly) of Albemarle, and Dickie Biggers of Albemarle: Four grandchildren: Josh Hatley (Amanda), Felicia Whitley (Jordan), Adam Hatley (Chantal), and Tiffany Hatley; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: Ethel Davis (Vern), Doris McRae (Stimpson), Frank Thompson (Kathy), and Paul Thompson (Christy).
