Helen Galliher Obituary

Helen Carpenter Galliher left for her Eternal Home on Saturday, February 4th 2023. Born June 13th, 1944 in the “Olive Church” section of rural Anson County near Lilesville, NC Helen was the eldest of four children born to Henry and Myrtle Carpenter. She is survived by her children, Dennis Galliher of Wadesboro, and Lisa Galliher Anastas of Albemarle, brother Curtis Carpenter (Teresa) of Lilesville, two grandchildren, Kensey Carpenter and Nathan Galliher and – great grandchildren, two special nieces Dana Chandler (Wright) of Southern Pines, NC and Tammy Gathings (Jamie) of Wadesboro NC, her precious fur baby named “Opie” whom she adored and many special family members and friends. 

There were several EXTRA SPECIAL people God put in Helen’s life to support her through her journey and to each she wishes to say “A Special Thank You For Your Support”

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded by a brother and sister-in-law Tommy and Geraldine Carpenter of Lilesville, NC and a sister Kathy Phillips Gathings of Wadesboro, NC.

Helen worked in textiles for 32 and a half years. During this time she also worked 12 years (part time) at the Pizza Inn and Steak House in Wadesboro, NC. She retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections in 2004.
