Graham Jones

Graham Sidney Jones,  85,  of Polkton died Saturday evening May 25, 2024 at his home.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Wightman Methodist Church. Pastor Bob Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 Sunday in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. Jones was born April 10, 1939 in Anson County to the late T.A, and Myrtle Lee Jones. He was a retired manager with UPS and following retirement was a cattle and poultry farmer. He served in the US Army Reserve and was a retired member of the Burnsville Fire Department with more than 50 years of service and having held many positions. He was a member of Wightman Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife,  Brenda Singletary Jones of the home; one son, Gary D. Jones (Carol) of Albemarle and one daughter Kay Jones Dennis of Polkton, sister Camille J Staton (Charles) of Graham and a sister-in-law Doris J Jones of Polkton.  Five grandchildren, Haley Stewart, Caleb Jones, Patrick Dennis (Linda), Ashley McKinnon(Adam) and Kaitlin Groves (Sean). Nine great-grandchildren, Carter, Sebastian, Allison, Anderson, Charlotte, Delaney, Lauryn, Olivia and Gracie. Also surviving is his canine companion, Theo.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Taron Jones and sister Ann Jones Dennis and a former son-in-law Frank J Dennis.
