Geraldine Lippe

Geraldine Thompson Lippe, 92, of Scotts Valley, CA, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was born and raised on the farmlands of Mt. Gilead and lived most of her life in California. She died of complications from Alzheimer's Disease.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Zion Methodist Church in Mt. Gilead. Her brother Pastor Frank Thompson will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, June 19, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead.

Mrs. Lippe was born on April 29, 1932, as a twin, in Pee Dee Township to the late Charlie Washington and Dora Gladys Daniel Thompson. She attended school in Albemarle and church in Albemarle and Mt Gilead. She loved her family dearly, was a great friend, grew beautiful gardens, played the piano, and was an excellent cook. In addition to caring for her family, she became a licensed vocational nurse at 42 years old and later was a small business owner. 

In addition to her husband, Raymond George Lippe, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Kathleen Kearns, Ruby Davis, Alton Thompson, Sarah Belcher, Clarence Thompson, Fred Thompson, and Irene Thompson.

She is survived by her children: Karen Lippe (Andrew Boe) and Raymond Lippe; grandchildren: Mathew Boe, Mitchell Boe, and Kade Boe; sisters: Peggy Deese, Henrietta Hatley, Ethel Davis (Vern), Doris McRae (Stimpson); brothers: Pastor Frank Thompson (Kathy), Paul Thompson (Christy); and many nieces and nephews.
