Garry Lane Parsons, 65, of Asheboro, formerly of Troy, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle. Pastor Randy Kelly, with Journey Church in Asheboro, will officiate.
Garry was born in Asheboro, NC to the late Howard William and Mary Lou Bateman Parsons. He was a special needs child that wasn’t supposed to live past 5 years old. He wasn’t supposed to be able to walk, talk, feed himself, but God said differently. He surpassed these milestones and he made it to 65 years old. Garry was loved by his family so much and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Martha Parsons Deese; brothers: William Duncan Parsons, Michael E Parsons, William Price Parsons, and twin brother Barry Wayne Parsons.
He leaves behind his brother, James Clayton Parsons (Barbara) and sister Mary Ellen Parsons Kaifos (Angelo); many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Randolph Hospice of Asheboro, Asheboro Rehab and Senior Care for the loving care they gave to our brother. Also his loving Aunt Jeanette and late Uncle Tilton Parsons for all the love and support they gave Garry over the years. A special thank you to Jamie Parsons and his wife Angela for all their love and special care over the years.
