Frances Clubb

Frances Floyd Clubb, 82, of Norwood, went to her heavenly home surrounded by all of her children and other family members, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at her home. 

Mrs. Clubb was born on February 22, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Claud Alonzo and Pearl Rogers Floyd. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, spending time with family, her grandchildren, crocheting, and listening to gospel music. 

Frances was well loved by her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She gave great advice and was always there for support. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband , James Clubb Jr.; daughter: Belinda Easter; grandson Robert ‘BJ’ Lee Gallimore; and brother: Clay Floyd. 

She is survived by her children: Penny C. Parsons (Darrell), Kathy C. Thurber (Dave), Cindy C. Smith, and James A. Clubb III (Melody); sisters: Carolyn Sinclair and Eva Helms, and brothers: Claud A. Floyd and Dwight Floyd; Ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
