Floyd Burns

Floyd Lawrence Burns, 47, of Norwood, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at Watauga Medical Center in Boone.

The family will receive friends  from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home.

Floyd was born on July 30, 1976 in Stanly County to the late Richard Floyd Burns and Janice Louise Morton. He was a 1994 South Stanly High School graduate and was employed with The Efird Insulation Family for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and being around people. He will always be remembered as kind hearted.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents Clement Lawrence Morton ‘Teeter’, and Louise Kivett Morton.  

He is survived by his sisters: Shelby Huneycutt and  Beverly Nifong (Crystal Efird); and nephew Bradly Nifong, all of Norwood.
