Evelyn Coble

Evelyn Hatley Coble, 93, of Oakboro, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Oakboro. Dr. Kinney Wallace will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

Mrs. Coble was born on December 24, 1931 in Stanly County to the late Albert Alexander and Nellie Tucker Hatley. She retired from Stanly Knitting and was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson Coble; siblings: Roscoe Hatley, Clayton Hatley, Grady Hatley, Annie Lee Griffin, and Vera Hatley. 

She is survived by her son: Darrell Coble (Theresa) and daughter: Patsy Jolly (Rick), all  of Oakboro; three grandchildren: Jennifer Nahrgang (Jeff), Bradley Coble (April), and Meredith Sain (Seth);  and four great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Camden Nahrgang, and Logan and Dylan Sain.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to Tillery Compassionate Care or Trinity Place of Albemarle
