Emory Granville Hayman

Emory Granville Hayman, 85, of Norwood, passed away at his home, on Saturday, April 5, 2025. 

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Edwards Funeral Home, with  Rev. Jon Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Mr. Hayman was born on March 2, 1940 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Joseph and Rebecca Sinclair Hayman. He served in the US Navy and retired from the US Postal Service after 27 years.

In addition to his parents, Emory is preceded in death by his wife, Joanne; and brother, Gerald Hayman.

He is survived by his children: Michael Hayman of Albemarle, Mark Hayman (Shirley) of Stanfield, and Dorothy Hayman of Richfield; step-son, Ritchie Hildreth; four grandchildren: Jacob Hayman, Hailey Barbee, Dakota Hayman, and Ashley Smith; one sister, Jane Wyatt; and three great-grandchildren: Gracelyn, Kimber, and Wyatt.
