Emily Kiser

Emily Lisk Kiser, 97, of Charlotte, NC passed away Wednesday morning, February 5, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, February 7, 2025 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood.  Rev. Mike Lisk will officiate and burial will follow in Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kiser was born May 25, 1927 in Stanly County to the late Travis and Sally Maner Lisk.  She enjoyed beach trips, cooking, family gatherings and being the best Mimi to her grandson, Michael Chaning Loyd and great-grandson, Kiser Chaning Loyd. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hill Leroy Kiser, Jr.;  siblings, Bill Lisk, James Lisk, Travis Lisk, Jr., Stella Caudle, Arlene Blalock, James Robert Furr,  Brenda Mabry and Barbara Burris.

She is survived by her children, Mark Efird(Cindy) of Charlotte and Robin Brown(John) of Gastonia; grandchild, Michael Chaning Loyd (Natalie) and great grandchild Kiser Chaning Loyd; siblings, Nannie Gray, Eugene Lisk and Arthur Lisk.
