Elsie Sharon Gaddy, 78, of Norwood died Monday Morning, November 10th, 2025 at Atrium Health Stanly– surrounded by her family.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Rodney Clements will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, November 12, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Elsie was born January 2nd, 1947– in Anson County to the late Walter Haywood and Mallie Miranda Smith Gaddy. She was a 1965 Graduate of Anson High School and a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. She was a retired customer service representative for Saia Trucking Company.
She is survived by her Brothers and Sisters, Annie Mae Gaddy of Polkton, Donald Gaddy of Norwood, Louise Gaddy Gilmore and husband Rick of Norwood, Walter Gaddy and wife Cindy of Burnsville, Calvin Gaddy of Mt. Gilead and Priscilla Gaddy Jameson of Polkton and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her brother Craven Gaddy and sisters, Irene Gaddy Pope and Edith Gaddy Atkinson.
Memorials may be made to Red Hill Baptist Church or Tillery Compassionate Care.
