Edward Calvin Huneycutt, 80, of Norwood, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, March, 8, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Torban Stroupe will officiate.
Mr. Huneycutt was born on November 30, 1943 in Stanly County. He was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruth Huneycutt; brothers: Tommy Huneycutt, William ‘Buzzy’ Carpenter, and Richard Carpenter; sisters: Marry Morris and Marie Austin; his former wife Melodie Lynn Huneycutt; step-son Tommy Snelgrove; grandson Dillion Snelgrove.
He is survived by his fiance Patricia Long of the home; children: Josh Huneycutt, Zachary Huneycutt, Chrystal Dawkins, Charlotte Hinson, Shelby Snelgrove Glenn, and Shellayne Snelgrove; grandchildren: Daniel Glenn, Kelli Goff, KeShawn Morris, Wyatt Snelgrove, Sterling Plazola, Kian Plazola, Lexi Howard, Zach Huneycutt Jr., Jacqueline McGuire, Jessica Henry, Cheyanna Cone, Jasmin Dawkins, Sabrina Hawthorne, and Sherry Biby; brother James Blake and wife Debbie, and Jim Spivey; sister Edith Croft; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
