Edith Eudy

Edith Burris Eudy, 96, of Norwood, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, May 12, 2025 at her home. 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday May 15, 2025 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood and interment will follow at Harwards Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

Ms. Eudy was born on October 21, 1928 in Stanly County to the late Henry Frank and Mary Agnes Talbert Burris. She enjoyed baking pies and other goodies to share with her family and friends. She was a member at Trinity Baptist Church, but enjoyed attending Mt. Zion Methodist with her son and daughter-in-law. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Eudy; daughter-in-laws, Pat Eudy and Patty Eudy; two sisters: Brenda Poplin and Jean Easley; her brother: Harlen Burris; and grandson: Corey Eudy. 

She is survived by her children: Eddie Eudy of Oakboro, Terry Eudy (Kathy) of Norwood, Kenneth Eudy (Jenny) of Norwood, and Lynn Eudy (Debbie) of Shallotte; one brother: Jimmy Burris of Thomasville; Eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
