Earnestine Richardson Lilly transitioned into her eternal rest on March 1, 2026 at Forrest Oaks Healthcare in Albemarle, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. Rev. Anthony Ledbetter will officiate. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Her body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the funeral home.

Earnestine was born on August 26, 1939 to the late Lee and Pauline Richardson. She retired from Collins and Aikman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Lilly Jr., her son Donnie Lilly, and her siblings: Edward Richardson, Leroy Richardson Jr., Lee Thomas Richardson, Hazaline Richardson, Elizabeth Pickett, and Mary Elizabeth Lilly.

She is survived by her children: Pearline W. Lilly, Anita C. Lilly, Augusta Lilly, Patricia Roseboro, Ronnie Lilly Jr., Robert Sylvester Lilly, Kenneth Earl Lilly, Terrence Antonio Lilly, James Lilly, 106 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and her siblings: Booker T Richardson, Archie Richardson, James D. Moss, James Richardson, Virginia Richardson, Harriet Richardson, Patricia Richardson, Teresa Moss, and Wanda Clark.
