Doug Edwards

Doug Edwards went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning October 31, 2023 at his home in Mt. Pleasant.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Community Church of Mount Pleasant. Rev. Aaron J Edwards, Rev. David Snow, and Rev. Jason Shive will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:45 to 11:15 AM that morning. After the service, the family will gather at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Ansonville at 2:30 PM for the burial. 

Doug was born December 18, 1959 in Anson County to the late Charles Little and Linda Hildreth Edwards. He was a member of Community Church of Mount Pleasant. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for most of his life and retired from Pass and Seymour Legrand. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Glenn and Clayton Edwards.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Edwards of 43 years, son Aaron Edwards (Amanda) of Kannapolis, brother Jeff Edwards (Amy) of Charleston, and brother in laws Harold Thompson (Pat) of Oakboro, and Bob Collins of New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews.

Doug was a faithful husband, a godly father, and he loved the Lord with all his heart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CCMP Journey Fund or First Baptist of Concord (NC) Mission Fund.
