Donovon Parks

Donovon Arthur Parks was born to Bettygenne and Orlando Parks in Greensboro NC on March 23, 1997 at 6:38am, then known as Twin B ten minute after his brother Devon. Donovon was educated in the Guilford County school system and graduated from Lucy Ragsdale High School. Donovon attended Miracle Temple in Winston- Salem NC until his adulthood. Donovon’s travels took him to Marietta and Austell GA where he excelled in his job as store manager for Caliber car wash and made GA his home. 

A funeral service will be held at Victory Temple in Albemarle on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 2 PM. Bishop James Medley will officiate.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Public viewing will be held at Edwards Funeral Home In Norwood, Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.  

Donovon was very intelligent and a young man of many talents, he loved to take things apart and make them they way he wanted them to be. Donovon has always been a quiet peaceful person, and very well mannered. Our hearts are heavy at the sudden passing of Donovon, he leaves behind to cherish his beautiful memories his parents Bettygenne Medley (Greensboro NC) and Orlando Parks (Brown Summit NC); brothers Orlando Dale Parks (Charlotte NC) and twin brother Devon Mansfield Parks (Austell GA); Maternal Grandparents Bishop James and Elder Joe Ann Medley (Norwood NC). Paternal Grandparents Melvin and Sadie Parks (Ramsuer NC). Aunts; Trilla (Gerard) Richardson (Norwood NC), Carmelita (Ronnie) Eaton (Albemarle NC), Josephine (Lou) Cockrell (Charlotte NC). Uncles James (Uncle Pete) Medley (Norwood NC) Andre McCrae and Kenneth (Ester) Parks ( Castlerock CO). One Niece Ky’era Parks, one Nephew Mateo Parks. Donovon has a long distance cousin Austin Parks (Columbus OH) and a special set of cousins that he grew up with like siblings, Dabreka, Roc, Michard, Chris and Raquel and a plethora of great aunts, uncles and cousins.
