Donna Hathcock

Donna Preslar Hathcock 64 of Norwood died Saturday Evening, May 30, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, June 4, 2026 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel of Norwood. Chaplin Gary Carney will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Donna was born October 19, 1961 in Anson County to the late Layton Bleachman Preslar Jr. and Andrea “Ann” Broome Preslar. She was a 1980 graduate of South Stanly High School and a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She was a retired Postmaster with the United States Postal Service.

Donna enjoyed life, spending time at the beach, her “happy place”, shopping was her therapy and riding motorcycles with her friends in the “Ain’t Rite Riders”.

She is survived by her companion, James “Strawberry” Davis. Her daughter, Sommer Hathcock Morgan (Adam) of Norwood. Her son, Richard “Ricky” Hathcock (Jaclyn) of Wadesboro. Three grandchildren, Lucy Morgan, Layton and Bryson Hathcock. One great granddaughter, Gradie Hathcock. Her sister, Sharon Preslar of Shallotte. Her children by love, Seth and Taylor Davis.
