Vonda Dianne Ross Riggsbee, 79, of Norwood, formerly of Locust, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday July 1, 2026 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. Pastor Charles Ray Carver will officiate and interment will follow at Locust Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Ms. Riggsbee was born on February 15, 1947 in Stanly County to the late Herman and Bonnie Helms Ross. She graduated from West Stanly High School in 1965 and worked for Belk Store Services and Food Lion in Locust. Dianne loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed reading, watching a good movie, and listening to anything Elvis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons: Bruce and Bobby Riggsbee.
She is survived by her children: Kimberly Carpenter (Dean) and Ginger Morton (Ernest); seven grandchildren: Dakoda Carpenter (Amanda), Nicholas Carpenter (Lachelle Sifford), Curtis Riggsbee, Nova Morton, Lisa Marie Morton (Adam), Hazel Morton, and Baelee Morton; three great grandchildren: Vincent, Jaxon, and Maverick; and one sister: Irene Ross.
