Delma Ray Hopkins

Delma Ray Hopkins Jr., 77, of Norwood, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024.

A celebration of life will be held at the family home at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024. 

Mr. Hopkins was born on June 14, 1947 in Stanly County to the late Delma Ray Sr. and Beatrice Howell Hopkins. He owned and operated Ingram Marine Center in Albemarle for 45 years. In his free time, he enjoyed working on old Chevrolet cars and John Deere Tractors.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dawn Barbee Hopkins of the home; three children: Inga Page (Mark) of Albemarle, Dale Hopkins of Cornelius, and Heather Hopkins of Norwood; six grandchildren: Savannah Jeffery, Kayla Hawley (Chris), Jonathan Page (Taylor), Luke Hopkins, Corbin Hopkins, and London Hopkins; and seven great-grandchildren: Keithan, Robin, Daisey, Willow, Azalea, Canaan, and Juniper
