Obituary
David Lynn McLaurin 74 of Albemarle died Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00PM Monday, November 21, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home of Norwood. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at a later date at Salisbury National Cemetery.
David was born April 23, 1948 in North Carolina to the late Daniel and Layra McLaurin.
He enjoyed music, especially playing the drums. He also loved racing go-carts and watching NASCAR racing. Davie loved his family more than anything and always had a smile on his face that could light up a room.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce McLaurin and brothers Bobby and Buddy McLaurin.
Survivors include daughter, Layra McLaurin, son, David McLaurin, step-son Ricky Glover, Grandchildren, Alisha McLAurin, Alivia McLendon, Kevinna Pemberton, Kevin Pemberton Jr, Courtney Stough and David Stough: great-grandchildren, Aniyah and Zamiyah Massey: brother, Dolan McLaurin and many nieces and nephews.
