Dave Evans

David Braddock “Dave” Evans 74 of Norwood died Monday Evening, February 11, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2019 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. W. C. Wright Jr. will officiate and interment will follow in Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Thursday Evening at the funeral home.

Dave was born May 21, 1944 in Mecklenburg County to the late Walter and Martha Blakely Evans. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines serving in Vietnam. He spent his career as a Textile Plant Manager.

Dave was preceded in death by his son Jacob Matthew Evans.

He is survived by his wife Miriam Edwards Evans of the home. His grandson, Matthew Dennis Evans-Yost of Florence, SC. Two brothers, Joe Evans of Monroe and Walter “Chick” Evans III (Leigh) of Charlotte. Niece and Nephew, Erin Bearhalter and Charlie Evans. Also surviving is his family by marriage “The Edwards”.
