Danny "Dunk" Kimrey

Danny Lewis “Dunk”  Kimrey, 56, of Albemarle, died Wednesday afternoon, September 22, 2021 at Atrium Stanly.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday September 26, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Jeremy Blake will officiate.  Interment will follow in Hudson Cemetery.   The family will be friends from 1:45PM to 2:45PM, prior to the service.

Dunk was born September 15, 1965  in Stanly County to the late Billy Hoover and Mary “Sis” Morton Kimrey.  He was last employed with Rusco.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, April Kimrey and his brother, Billy Wayne Kimrey.

He is survived by his daughter, Kayla Kimrey (Mike) of Oakboro; grandchildren, Ayden, Brodie, Cayslee and Copelynn Brayall; sisters, Carrie Mae Aldridge (Jerry) and Mary Evelyn Green all of Albemarle and brother, Dale Kimrey of Locust.
