Danny Blalock

Daniel Wesley Blalock ‘Danny’ more affectionately known as ‘Dano’, 47, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April, 4, 2026 at West Albemarle Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service. Rev. Adam Hatley will officiate and interment will follow at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Daniel was born on August 25, 1978 in Stanly County to Archie Lee and Theresa Almond Blalock. He graduated from South Stanly High School and worked with Martin Marietta as a heavy equipment operator. Daniel loved people and loved having fun with his family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Coy Almond, Paternal grandparents Monk and Eva Blalock; and cousins: Jamie Almond and Benny Almond. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Lillian Blalock; his wife, Rosemary Blalock; brother: Chad Blalock (Tammie); nephew Juel Sanders of Albemarle; niece: Ayanna Odom (Charleston); maternal grandmother, Christine Almond of Albemarle; and many work friends at Martin Marietta; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
