Craven Allen Gaddy, 81, of Wadesboro, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Union Hospice House in Monroe.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Red Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Mr. Gaddy was born on July 5, 1941 in Anson County to the late Walter Haywood Sr. and Mallie Smith Gaddy. He resided in Wadesboro and was a Farmer. Craven loved his family and always made sure everyone was taken care of. He also loved his beagles and enjoyed hearing them run.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Irene Pope.
He is survived by his siblings: Annie Mae Gaddy and Priscilla Jameson, both of the home; Donald Gaddy (Sherry) of Polkton, Walter Gaddy (Cindy) of Polkton, Calvin Gaddy (Shelia) of Mt. Gilead, Edith Atkinson (Bobby) of Albemarle, Elsie Gaddy of Norwood, and Louise Gilmore (Rick) of Norwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
