Cody Haltiwanger

On Thursday, March 18, 2021, Cody Evan Haltiwanger, 30, went home to be with the Lord.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Hamer Creek Baptist Church.  Rev. Rupert Medford will officiate.  

Cody was born December 17, 1990 in Moore County to Kimberly Reitzell and Albert. J. Haltiwanger.  Cody was a 2009 graduate of Buncombe County Middle College.  Cody attended Hamer Creek Baptist Church in Mount Gilead.

Cody loved his family and it was his greatest pleasure spending quality time with them.  Cody was a person who truly cared for his fellow man and always made each person in front of him feel at ease.  His greatest pleasure was making others smile.  Cody also took great pride in his artwork which included making colorful Mandella drawings and making jigsaw puzzles he had put together.  He loved video gaming and skate boarding with this brother, Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Taylor Haltiwanger of Albemarle and sister, Megan Haltiwanger of Asheville; grandfather, Dr. Albert Haltiwanger(Peggy); uncles and aunts, Jerry and Linda Parnell and their son, Ken; Brian Reitzell(Rhonda) and his son, Eric; Robby and Beverly Russell and their son, Christian.
