Clydene Dunn Kime, 84, of Mt. Gilead, passed away December 8, 2023 at her childhood home in the very room in which she was born.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday December 10, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Tony Hancox and Rev. Jimmy Anderson will officiate and interment will follow at Sharon Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Clydene was born on January 19, 1939 in Montgomery County to the late Clyde Vernon and Lula Robinson Dunn. She was a graduate of Mount Gilead High School and a member at Bethel Baptist Church. Clydene was married to David ‘Punch’ Kime. The two served in the Ministry for the majority of their life.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Punch Kime and sister Zona Liner.
She is survived by her children: David Kime (Cheryl) and Laura Anderson (Jimmy), of Mt. Gilead; grandchildren: TSgt Jake Kime (Taylor) of San Antonio, TX, Daniel Kime of Seagrove, Carson Anderson (Kristin) of Columbus, NC, LCpl Rexanne Anderson of Dam Neck, VA, and Kristian Kime Lynthacum (Taylor) of Mt. Gilead; five great- grandchildren: Leah, Bo, Reed, Addie, and Madi.
Memorials may be made to First Health Hospice or Gideons International.
