Clyde Lee

Herold Clyde Lee, 92, of Norwood passed away Monday afternoon, April 5, 2021 at CMC Main in Charlotte.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday afternoon, April 8, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood.  Rev. Mary Hatley will officiate and burial will follow in Cedar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM, Thursday afternoon, prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.  

Clyde was born March 22, 1929 in Stanly County to the late George Efird and Lillie Mae Russell Lee.  He was a retiree of the North Carolina Department of Corrections and was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. 

Clyde was an outdoors man, he loved everything about nature, from producing fruits and vegetables to raising cattle and goats.   He spent a great deal of time with his horses and dogs and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Sadie Martin, Lucille Randall, Georgia Boone, Rachel Boone and Beatrice Lisk; brother, Ralph Lee; nephew, Randy Lee and niece, Kay Ross.  

He is survived by his sister, Velma Lee of the home; nephews, Tony Martin, Johnny Lisk, Kevin Boone, Allen Boone and niece, Vickie Newsome.  

Pall bearers for the service will be Tony Martin, Johnny Lisk, Kevin Boone, Allen, Boone, Matt Hatley and Julian Burgin.
