Claudine Dennis Morris

Claudine Dennis Morris, 92, of Albemarle, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home on Tuesday, June 09, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate and burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:00PM prior to the service on Thursday.

Ms. Morris was born on January 19, 1928 to the late Fred Roosevelt and Mary Boyd Dennis Foreman. She retired from Knitsters, Inc. and was a member at Porter Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Odell Morris and her son Terry Odell Morris.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Neal Morris of the home; three grandchildren: Tanya Morris Milton of Albemarle, Terry Odell Morris II of Horseshoe,NC, and Tasha Nacole Stamper of Albemarle; five great- grandchildren: Sarah Leigh Milton of Albemarle, Makaela Grace Morris of Horseshoe, Allison Nacole Franke, Haley Jo Burris, and Jeremy Alan Franke, all of Albemarle; four great-great-grandchildren,  Hunter Raine Mabry, Jase Everette Burris, Levi Benjamin Burris, and Allie Grace Burris; one sister: Helen D. Newton, of Albemarle; special nieces and nephews: Darrell Newton, Gerald Morris, Bob Furr, Billy Ray Morris, Judy Skipper, Debbie Perry, Tommy Morris, Jane Morris, and Linda Morris; and special friends Donald Gene & Sybil Mabry, Shelley and Candy Mabry, Amanda Sorba, Lindsey Mauldin, and Linda Schweirtzer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to: Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie, 960 North First Street, Albemarle NC, 28001 or Porter Baptist Church, 16562 HWY 52 South, Norwood, NC 28128.
