Claude Allen Burleson, 82, of Norwood, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Peacefully with his wife at his side at The Greens of Cabarrus where he had been a resident since January 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Cottonville Baptist Church. JR Murr will officiate, and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
Mr. Burleson was born on May 12, 1942, in Stanly County to the late Cleo and Chloris Huneycutt Burleson. He is a retiree from the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. He was a member of Cottonville Baptist church where he served as a Deacon, RA Director, and sang in the choir. He was an ordained minister, a loving faithful husband amazing dad and pawpaw!!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Cleo Burleson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Harwood Burleson; two daughters; Cheri Lindsay (John) of Kannapolis, Natalie Furr of Albemarle; four grandchildren: Alyssa Lindsay, Jessica Odom (James), Isaac Furr (Elizabeth), and Kyle Furr; three great-grandchildren: Raidyn Lindsay Cruz, Waylon Odom, and Amelia Odom
