Charlotte Ingold Crenshaw, 90, of Ansonville passed away, Monday night, July 5, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Ansonville Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Bethehem Cemetery. Rev. Robert Burr will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:45am to 10:45am, prior to the service at the church.
Charlotte was born April 19, 1931 in Anson County to the late Clyde Carl and Rosa Pat Allen Ingold. She attended Queens College before marrying Randall Crenshaw, whom she was married to for 67 years. She and Randall lived in Van Wyck, SC before moving back home to Ansonville upon his retirement. Together they kept a beautiful yard and gardens that gained them recognition by N C Governor Jim Hunt.
Charlotte was active in book clubs both in SC and NC. She was a volunteer in the reading program at Ansonville Elementary School. She volunteered her services to Meals on Wheels and was very active in her church, Ansonville Methodist. Charlotte was a wonderful cook.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Crenshaw, brother, Bill Ingold and nephew, Randy Ingold.
She is survived by her nephews, Tim Ingold (Susan), Patrick Ingold (Angie) and Randy’s wife, Judi; great nephews, Reid, Ian, Pierce, Anson and Addison Ingold and great niece, Kasie Mooneyham.
Also surviving are members of the Crenshaw family, sisters in law, Margaret Crenshaw and Jeanette Crenshaw; nephews and nieces, William L. (Bill) McGuirt, Ronald T. McGuirt, Dr. Howard Newell, Debbie Crenshaw, Jody Crenshaw Elliott, Harold (Hal) Crenshaw, Rita Newell Pettus, Freida Newell Edwards, Nancy Newell Helms, Janet Crenshaw, Paula Crenshaw, Diane Crenshaw Nivens, Joyce Crenshaw Crimminger, Lynn Crenshaw Carnes, and Michael Crenshaw, many great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Phyllis and Wayne Pope and their family for all of the wonderful care they gave to Charlotte since Randall’s death. And thanks to the wonderful caregivers who stayed with Charlotte 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They are Tammy Little, Beulah Pratt, Bobby Bullock, Rachel Locklear, Patricia Harrison, Corturnia Wall.
