Carol Melton

Carol Tucker Melton 69 of Norwood died Friday Evening, May 29, 2026 at Atrium Stanly.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Norwood Church of God. Rev. David Shankle will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Edwards Funeral Home of Norwood.

Carol was born November 10, 1956 in Stanly County to the late Luther Jackson Tucker and Helen Smith Tucker Biggers. She touched many children's lives during her 46 year career as a child care provider with her business “Nana’s Daycare” in Norwood. She attended Norwood Church of God.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years Edward “Eddie” Melton. One daughter, Mandy Melton, one son Chase Melton (Mindy) all of Norwood. One sister, Linda Hatley (David) of Badin and one brother, Wayne Tucker (Donna) of New London. Five grandchildren, Daiden Allmon (Ana), Van Allmon, Cali, Maddie and Paisley Melton. One great-granddaughter, Eliana Allmon.
