Cameron Lyle Needham, 18, of Norwood, passed away Thursday November 12, 2020.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Memorial Baptist Church in Norwood. Cameron will lie in state from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the church. Rev. Josh Phillips and Rev. Jeffery Pope will officiate. Due to Covid 19, masks and social distancing are requested.
Cameron was born August 20, 2002 in Mecklenburg County to the late Christopher Lacy Needham and Kimberly Sue P. Needham, who survives. He was a senior at South Stanly High School and a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Cameron had a contagious smile and an outgoing personality. He was the life of the party who will be greatly missed by his many friends. His recent Instagram quote was, “It’s okay to be a Glow stick, sometimes we have to break before we shine.”
In addition to his mother, Kimberly, he is survived by his brother, Chet Needham of the home; and his dog, Rocki; grandfather, James C. Pilkington of Indian Lake Estate, FL; uncles and aunts, Carl & Cindy Needham of Marshville, Cheryl & Greg Greenly of Harrisburg, Greg & Beth Pilkington of Germany and Barbara Wooten of Locust; cousins, Tina & Joey Huneycutt, Cody & Mimi Wooten, Louise, Tori & Byrdee Wooten, Boone, Julie, Canyon and Soleil Pilkington, Ashley Pilkington, Jackson Pilkington, Carl, Jordan, Tyson & Taylor and family, Thomas & Tyler and family.
The family asks that memorial be made to Stanly Community Chrisitan Ministries, P. O. Box 58, Albemarle, NC 28001 in Cameron’s memory.
