Bruce Airington Obituary

Bruce Lester Airington, 69, of Mt Gilead, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Atrium Health in Pineville.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Airington was born on May 22, 1951 in Union County to the late James Wilson ‘JW’ and Nancy Edwards Airington.

Bruce was a faithful member of Community Full Gospel Church where he proudly served as a Deacon. He loved to be outdoors fishing and enjoyed tinkering at his home. He was a retired truck driver with Edwards Wood Products.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Jerome Airington of the home; his children: John Kevin Airington (Anna) of Badin, Miranda Grace Airington of Mt. Gilead, and William Rufus Moore of Marshville; four grandchildren: Nathen Vaughn, Kayla, T.J. and Tanner Moore; four great-grandchildren; one brother: Donald Airington (Kathy); three sisters: Clara Napier (Bob), Jane Davis (Jon), and Vicky Drye (Larry); and his loving furry companion, Peanut.
