Bonnie Aldridge

Bonnie Aycock Aldridge 81 of Norwood died Friday Afternoon, December 12, 2025 at CMC Main in Charlotte.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Gleaning Mission Church in Oakboro. Pastor Steve Barbee and Rev. J.R. Murr will officiate and interment will follow in Norview Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bonnie was born September 25, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Arthur and Hazel Ussery Aycock. She was a 1962 graduate of Norwood High School and was a retiree of the NC Department of Health and Human Services, Independent Living Division. She was a member of Gleaning Mission Church in Oakboro.

She is survived by her husband Jerry “Buddy” Aldridge of the Home. One son Ronny Aldridge (Bonnie) of Oakboro and one daughter Nancy Aldridge Murr (J. R.) of Norwood. Two brothers, Barry Aycock (Nancy) of Jacksonville, Fla. and John Aycock (Marie) of Goodyear, AZ. Four granddaughters, Kristen Gregory (Bill), Janna Johnson (Timothy), Francine Thompson (Jake) and Faith Carpenter (Matt). Four great-grandchildren, Thaddeus, Nathaniel, Elias and Lilly.

Memorials may be made to Gleaning Mission Church, 21413 E. 8th Street, Oakboro, NC  28129.
