Bobby Tucker

Bobby Wayne Tucker, 76, of Norwood, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Atrium Cabarrus in Concord.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Norview Gardens. Rev. J. D. Moffett will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00pm to 1:45pm.  

Bobby was born November 10, 1947 in Stanly County to the late Jacob Lonzo and Ruth Love Tucker.  He graduated from West Stanly High School and went on to serve with the US Army in  the Vietnam War.  Bobby retired from the U S Postal Service after 32 years of service.  He, along with his wife, were former owners of Subway in Norwood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara T. Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce H. Tucker of the home; son, Jeremy Ray Tucker(Carmen) of Southport; daughters, Angela Nicole T. Pistole(Ben) of Pittsboro, Lara H. Bowen(John) of Windermere, FL; grandchildren, Courtney B. Tatum(Cameron), Dana R. Bowen, Baron K. Tucker and Gavin R. Tucker.
