Bobby Sneed

Bobby Lee Sneed, 88, of Mt Gilead; passed away Monday, October 20th, 2025. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 23rd; from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Edwards Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 24th; at 3:00 P.M. at Little River United Methodist Church in Mt. Gilead. An internment will follow at Ex-Way Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Bobby was born in Montgomery County, on December 3rd, 1936 to the late John Allen Octavius and Annie Elizabeth Wooley Sneed. He graduated from Mt. Gilead High School; and then went on to serve in the United States ARMY. Upon his departure from the ARMY, Bobby maintained a career in the trucking industry, working for ESTES Trucking Company. He regularly attended Little River United Methodist Church. 

Bobby was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gertie Lola Chappell Sneed; Brothers: John, Lonnie, and Joe; and Sisters: Virginia Blake, Mae Dell Schulteis. 

He was survived by his Sons: Greg Sneed (Emily) of Pageland, Barry Sneed (Sandy) of Mt. Gilead; Daughter: Lisa Sneed, of Mt. Gilead. As well as his beloved grandchildren: Ryan Glover (Delera), Kyle Glover, Brian Sneed, Lauren Glover, and Devin Sneed (Victoria); as well as eight great-grandchildren– which he loved dearly; and his sister, Betty Schulteis.
