Billy Griffin

Billy Edwin Griffin 84 of Albemarle died Tuesday Morning, January 7, 2020.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Howard will officiate and interment will follow in St. Martin’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Billy was born March 2, 1935 in Union County to the late Henry and Fay Harrington Griffin. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a retiree of Wisscassett Mills and a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church.

Billy was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his family, taking care of his car and chickens.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda “Sue” Hartsell Griffin and a brother Joe Tom Griffin.

He is survived by four children, Diane Smith (Craig), Donna Burris and Sandy Griffin (Angie) all of Albemarle and Jody Brantley of Norwood. Eleven Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren.
