William Lee "Bill" Johnson, Jr, 80 of Norwood, passed away October 1, 2021 at his home. Born March 7, 1941, Bill was the only son of the late William Lee Johnson, Sr, and Ruby Little Johnson.
Beginning employment at age 18 with the United States Postal Service, Mr. Johnson later served as postmaster in both Norwood and Albemarle before retiring after more than thirty years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Norwood where he had served as Deacon and Elder.
Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beverly Lisenby Johnson; two daughters, Leslie Johnson-Frick (Darren) and Leigh Johnson Roush (Edmund); grandsons, Dylan Nash Frick, Jonas Sayer Roush, and Gabriel Johnson Roush; nephew, Randy W. Fraley. Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Johnson Fraley.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 9th at 4:00PM on the lawn at his home. Bring a yard chair and celebrate Bill's life.
