Betty Lambert

Betty Ruth Barbee Lambert, 94, of Albemarle passed away on July 13, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. 

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Canton Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Curtis Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. 

Betty was born on November 8, 1931 to the late Charlie Lee and Gladys Johnson Barbee. She worked at Alison’s in production. Betty was a member of Canton Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Dois Lambert, their daughter, Teresa Ann Lambert, her brother Bobby Lee Barbee, and her sister Edna Howell. 

She is survived by her son, Gary Dois Lambert, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
