Betty Jean (Wilhoit) Mauldin

Betty Jean Wilhoit Mauldin, 76, of Norwood passed away Thursday January 16, 2020, at Atrium Main in Charlotte.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday January 19, 2020, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mike Lisk will officiate, and burial will follow at Norwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Mauldin was born in Montgomery County, on September 28, 1943, to the late John Baxter and Lillie Mae Seagraves Mauldin.  She was a member at the Community Full Gospel Church and worked as a seamstress.  Betty will be remembered for her love of the Lord, children, and flowers.  She was known to have a green thumb.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Sammy Lee Mauldin; two sons, Timothy Paul Hill and Shane Mauldin; one daughter, Terri Hollingsworth Almond; two sisters, Mary Ruth Johnson and Louise Honeycutt.

She is survived by one daughter, Tonya Mauldin McManus on Mt. Gilead; sisters, Brenda Smith Morris and Hazel Wilhoit Love; four grandchildren:  Jennifer Lilly, Shanna McManus, J.R. McManus, and Hunter Gurley; six great grandchildren: Destiny, Able, Koriah, Kaleah, Logan, and Camden.
