Barbara Kimrey

Barbara Biles Kimrey, 81, of Norwood, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 25, 2024 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Porter United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and interment will follow at Porter Community Cemetery. 

Mrs. Kimrey was born on January 5, 1943 in Stanly County to the late Robert and Virginia Lefler Biles. She was a retired nurse and a faithful member at Porter United Methodist Church. Barbara was a talented quilter and enjoyed flowers. She had a deep love for her family, church, and church family. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Scott Kimrey; granddaughter, Jennifer Kimrey; and siblings: Mike Biles, Roger Biles, David Biles, and Linda Mask.

She is survived by her children: CW Kimrey, Dean Kimrey (Kim), Pat Kimrey, Tamara Hearne, and Melissa Lee; seven grandchildren: Jessica Kimrey, Eric Kimrey (Michelle), Brad Kimrey, Kayleigh Kimrey, Casey Kimrey, Isaac Morton, and Cheyann Kimrey (Jay); six great-grandchildren: Jazmin, Jeremiah, Eli, Cora, Princeton, and Noah; and sisters: Brenda Morgan and Kathy Biles.
