Barbara Almond

Barbara Blalock Almond, 79, of Norwood,  passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM  on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Matthew Tucker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 prior to the service.

Mrs. Almond was born on Decemeber 29, 1941 to the late Smith and Pearl Goins Blalock. She retired from K-mart and was a member at Freewill Baptist Church. 

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished her time she spent with her family and enjoyed going to he beach for girls trips. Her new great-grandson, Emmett, was her pride and joy. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Joey Almond.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy L Almond of the home; her daughter Crissie Noles and husband Charlie of Mt. Pleasant; grandaughter: Ashley Whitley and fiance Jamey Breedlove of Kannapolis, great-grandson: Emmett Gray Breedlove; and two brothers: Buddy Blalock of Albemarle and Cannie Blalock of Norwood.
