Amy Hinson Almond, 50, of Norwood died peacefully, Wednesday evening, December 1, 2021 at Atrium Northeast.
A Celebration of Amy’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Canton Baptist Church. Rev. Reece Linell and Rev. Josh Phillips will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 Saturday afternoon at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Amy was born November 7, 1971 in Stanly County to Ronnie and Treva Thompson Hinson of Albemarle. She was a 1990 graduate of West Stanly High School and was a Certified Medical Assistant with Atrium Health and a member of Canton Baptist Church.
Amy was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family unconditionally. She was a “Ferocious Mama Bear” and a devoted soccer mom. She will be lovingly remembered as a happy positive person, always smiling and brightening the lives of those she encountered. She loved her Albemarle Medical Family and was loved by them. She had just recently commented she was “Living her best life”
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jerry W. “Bo” Almond Jr. of the home; three sons, Chase Elliot Eudy (Alana Desiree) and her son Pierce of Charlotte, Eli Tucker Almond and Asa James Almond both of the home; one step-son, Davis Smith Almond of Salisbury; two brothers, Alex Hinson (Charlene) of Oakboro and Alan Hinson of Albemarle.
