Virginia Brewer Carpenter

Virginia Brewer Carpenter 82 of Norwood died Friday Morning, May 5, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, May 11, 2017 Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. The family will receive friends from 12:30 till 1:00 Thursday. Interment will follow in Bennettsville AME Zion Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Carpenter was born July 22, 1934 in Stanly County. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Willoughby Brewer. She was a retired dietician at Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence D. Carpenter.

She is survived by Five Sons, Philip Carpenter (Barbara) of Lumberton, Clarence Carpenter Jr. of Norwood, Gerald Carpenter of Claremont, Timothy Carpenter of Albemarle and Vincent Carpenter of Norwood. Four Daughters, Nadine Carpenter Alford(Izell Jr.) of Norwood, Teresa Carpenter of Charlotte, Loretta Carpenter of Albemarle and Tina M. Smith(Jeffrey) of Badin. Nineteen Grandchildren and many Great-Grandchildren.
